Dr Linda Swan is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Go Gentle Australia. She joins from Medibank, where she served as Group Chief Medical Officer since 2015, bringing extensive experience in clinical leadership, health policy, and patient advocacy. A former GP, Linda has a deep understanding of the health system and a strong commitment to compassionate, person-centred care.
As CEO, she will lead Go Gentle Australia into its next phase—ensuring voluntary assisted dying (VAD) laws are effective, accessible, and upheld across all jurisdictions. Linda’s leadership will focus on strengthening medical understanding of VAD, protecting existing laws, and supporting equitable access for people with terminal illness.
