Professor David Currow is Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President at the University of Wollongong and Adjunct Professor of Palliative Medicine at ImPACCT, University of Technology Sydney. An internationally recognised leader in palliative care research, he has authored over 600 peer-reviewed publications focused on symptom control, chronic breathlessness, and evidence-based care.
David is the founding Principal Investigator of the Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative (PaCCSC) and a foundation partner of the Australian Palliative Care Outcomes Collaborative (PCOC), both advancing clinical excellence and outcomes in palliative care. He has held senior academic and editorial roles globally and previously served as President of Palliative Care Australia and the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia.
